Eli Camero
Massage Therapist
Health and Wellness Practitioner
Eli Camero graduated from the Oregon School of Massage in 2013, with a focus on the methodologies of Eastern massage therapy. His style is gentle, flowing and incorporates deeply sustained methods of compression and stretching. He draws his primary bodywork techniques from the modalities of Thai yoga massage therapy – a historic form of practice dating back over 2500 years; and his personal therapeutic style is known to intuitively blend elements of Shiatsu massage into his work. Still, well within in his expertise, Eli also offers a selection of bodywork treatments rooted in other traditional forms of massage, including deep tissue, Swedish relaxation, Reiki and biodynamic craniosacral therapy. His clients consistently report experiencing a deeply-relaxed, zen state at the completion of a booking with him.
Eli’s initial introduction to Thai yoga massage began early in his education and training with David Weitzer in Portland, Oregon. He quickly grew connected to the practice and its ‘healing arts’ lineage. So soon after, during a year of traveling abroad in Asia, he settled down in India to study Sivananda yoga, massage, and Vipassana meditation. He continued to study the principles of traditional Thai massage with Master Pichest Boonthumme near the city of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand; and all this has since inspired his current approach.
Having grown up as a Hood River native and exploring the greater Columbia River Gorge, Eli’s passions for nature and outdoor recreation only emboldened with time. He enjoys kite surfing, gardening and foraging, and continues to deepen his knowledge and expertise in meditation and massage therapy through travel, practice and study.
